Normal moles are common small brown blemishes or growths on the skin that appear in the first decades of life in almost everyone. Atypical moles are unusual benign moles which resemble melanoma and indicate an increased risk. Melanoma is a skin cancer which often looks like and irregularly-shaped, multicolored, or inflamed (red or purple) mole (See Skin Cancer Treatment). Our team of skin care experts can determine whether or not your mole is of concern, and if so, will work with you to devise a treatment plan.
